One of the most incredible graphic recording experiences of my life thus far!

I was invited to do some graphic recording live at Brilliant Minds in Sweden by Wassim “Sal” Slaiby, the CEO of XO Records whose most notable recording artist, TheWeeknd. Many world leaders, innovators and entertainers were in attendance including Barack Obama, Naomi Campbell, Gary Vaynerchuck, Forest Whitaker and many other world leaders.

Opportunity

I had the opportunity to create a live sketchnote, capturing Sal’s speech as a keepsake for this momentous occasion where he shared the story of how he started as a refugee from Lebanon and has become arguably one of the greatest performing artist manager in the world.

Solution

After the session was complete, I brought the piece back to the U.S. and added (for the first time) some bling to the piece. Many of the details featured silver and black glitter to give it the rock star treatment.

It was signed by all the artists, Rima Slaiby, his wife and it now hangs proudly in his home theatre.
